Charity Work
Both of our directors at Easton’s are heavily involved with a local charity. The Geoff Smith Foundation is a Southampton based charity that helps both the sufferer and families of people with Multiple Sclerosis. A
debilitating disease that affects over 100,000 people in the U.K, M.S can strike at any time with differing levels of severity.
The Foundation has not only bought a specially adapted mini-bus for the local M.S Society but also purchased a specially adapted villa in Spain where we send sufferers and their families for a break (a small charge does apply). We have had some great assistance along the way of raising the needed monies by none other than local football legends Matt Le Tissier and Jason Dodd but also members of Jamiroquai, emerging TV stars and other sports personalities.
The charity is always prepared to help where it can. A recent example has been the adjustments made to a sufferer’s home to accommodate wider doorways for a wheelchair and addition of a wet room. We can also help by the funding of treatment or assistance in acquiring specially adapted wheelchairs. Please feel free to raise any query as we're always keen to assist.
Having been diagnosed with the illness himself in 2000 Glenn (director) is always available to discuss any concern or matter relating to the illness. “ I completely understand the issues and difficulties in living with this illness and will do anything I can to help fellow sufferer’s”, says Glenn.
